Vision:

The provide Sociological knowledge to students of social concept, social issues, problems and their solutions

Goals:

  •  To create social awareness among students.
  • To develop the attitude of social work and social welfare.
  • To encourage and motivate the students to participate in various social activities.
  • To study social problems and undertake action programme e.g. for the victims, the deprived, slum areas, etc.

Salient Features:

1. Use of ICT for Teaching Learning Method.

2. Participative method use of Teaching Learning and open discuss the Topics.

3. Topic related brief writing on the paper to the students.

4. Organized Various activities like –Paper Presentation, hand written Wall

paper, One Minute Paper Presentation, Group discussion etc.

 Activities such as Movie screening of 1 to 10 parts Savidhan (Indian Constitution) VDOs prepared by Rajyasabha T.V. Channel and 1 to 26 Parts Pradhanmantri (Prime Minister) Episode VDOs Screening by the Dept. of Sociology. The college has the facility of wi-fi and it is used in teaching- learning process in the academics. It is used in the Classroom while showing Online Videos Lectures. For these activity authentic and standard websites are used such as CEC, U.G.C., H.R.D. etc. Every year published hand written wall paper in various issues and conduct Unit Test.

One Minute Paper Presentation Competition on Female Foeticide for SYBA students

Poster Presentation on  Indian Population Development for SYBA students

Paper Presentation Competition on New Economic Policies and its Impact on Organized and Unorganized Sectors for TYBA students

 

Students’ Achievements:

1.Ms. PriyaBelekar and Ms. RupaliJadhav  from FYBA won the First and Second Prize respectively in Group Discussion Competition, titled Social Changes

2.Ms. HarshaliGaikwad and Ms. ShradhaNaik from SYBA won the First and Second Prize respectively in One Minute Paper Presentation Competition, titled Female Foiticide.

3.Ms. HarshaliGaikwad and Ms. MadhuGodse from SYBA won the First and Second Prize respectively in Poster Presentation Competition, titled Population and Development.

4.Ms. LaleetaBhangare and Ms. Kamal Navale from SYBA won the First and Second Prize respectively in Paper Presentation Completion, titled Impact of Globalization on Formal and Informal Sectors.

Organized lecture on Sociology and Social work by   Dr.Farukh Shaikh, Principal,Sandip College of Arts,Zodge,Tal.MalegeonDist-Nashik..

Lecture Series Organized on:

Two hours lecture was organized on the Role of NGO in Social Work by Prof. Dr. GhanshyamJagtap, IMRT Social Work College, Nashik, on 01st Feb. 2018.

Two hours lecture was organized on the Importance of Sociology by Prof. Dr. Sanjay Savale, KTHM College, Nashik, on 02nd Feb. 2018.

Two hours lecture was organized on the Sociological Study and Social problem  by Prof. Dr. Dr.Farukh Shaikh, Principal,Sandip College of Arts,Zodge,Tal.MalegeonDist-Nashik on 3rd Feb 2018

Activities Run By Sociological Study Circle

The Sociological Study Circle was established in the year 2006-07

  • Display of Wallpaper every year
  • Adopted 2 NMC’s Schools, Jail Road, Nashik Road from 2011.

 

Future Plan

  • To start Sociology as a special subject at Undergraduate Level
  • Research Projects on Social Issues
  • To support the adopted NMC’s School strongly
