Department of Cultural Activities

Year of Establishment   :     1998

Vision :  To develop confidence in the girl students who belong to rural area and lower middle class. And to inculcate traditional values of our culture through stage activity and programs.

Goals :

• To organized various culture events
• To celebrate festivals of national importance
• To provide forum to students various competitions so that their cultural abilities and their culture
• To develop stage daring
• To develop inner skills and  personality
• To make more students participating culture activities and programs

Salient Features :

• Participate every year district level V.S.Purohit, State level Loksatta One Act Play Competition.
• Participation of the students in college Magazine ‘Srujan’
• Org.Teachers Day (5^th sept.)For students.
• Org.Ganesh Festival (5Days) and various competitions.
• Org.Annual Gathering(fancy dress, college queen, one minute show,mehandi,flower decorating, group & solo dance etc.competition.)
• This year we reached up to the final of State level ‘Rangavaikhari’Sansrutik kalavishkaar competition (Org.by Maharashtra Govt. & Marathi Rajya Vikas Sanstha

 Students Achievements :   

•  We won the first prize in UTh Festival District Level Selection Round for Group Dance Form.
•   We won the 2^nd Prize in Antim Round  for One Act Play “Kolaj” in ‘Loksatta’ State Level One Act Play Competition  &  Best Music and Best Lights Effects 1^st Prize Also.
•  We won the First Award For Best Lights Effects for One Act Play ’’ Kolaj’’Org. By Savitribai Phule Pune University &Students Welfare Dep.One Act Play Competition.
• We won the First Prize in V.S.Purohit One Act Play District Level Competition for “Kolaj”.

Future Plans:

• To organize District Level Workshop on Arts Skills such as Music,Singing,Drama,Poetry,writing etc.
• To establish Audio Video Library.
• To conduct Lecture Series for Writer,Director,Artist, Dramatists, musicians  for students who Special Skills an Art.
